(More customer reviews)This is the worst oven I have ever seen, I do not know what the engineers where thinking when they built this unit. There is a small metal deflector that runs along the top of the vents above the top door and after 10-12 minutes of the oven coming to temp, the whole area above the door gets so hot, you can burn yourself. Funny thing is, the engineers obviously knew this, because after I got a blister on my finger from touching this metal band, I looked at the manual and under the section "Vents" it actually says that it could burn you!! Worst of all, Maytag was very uncooperative about exchanging the unit. I had always thought Maytag was a good company but I will never purchase another thing from them. They acted as if there was nothing wrong. A service person came to my home from PC Richards where I purchased the oven and he measured the temperature of this metal deflector once the oven reached 360 degrees on the inside. The metal strip on the outside had already reached a temperature of 220 degrees after only 12 minutes. PC Richards was great. They gladly offered an exchange and I purchased a GE instead.
My recommendation is to stay away, far away, it will burn you and then Maytag will add insult to injury and burn you again.

PB975SPSS GE Profile 30" Free-Standing Double Oven Electric Range - Stainless Steel Review

(More customer reviews)What a great looking unit -- too bad the sleek stainless steel outside hides a lousy inside!
My wife and I have been looking a more updated unit to replace our 15 year old electric range oven. We thought we found a unit that was both functional, sleek and useful. For the two months that the unit worked, it was actually a great range oven. We found ourselves using the upper oven (although smaller of the two) more than 95% of the time. It heated up quickly and baked evenly. The stove top is also designed thoughtfully and the control unit, while not as advanced as some other units, was very functional and surprisingly intuitive to use.
The unit broke down after just two months of use (bought on Sep 10, 2010 and broke on Nov 4, 2010). The unit shut down completely and when it re-powered, the "door locked" indicator was on. While the stove top was still functional, neither of the ovens were. The GE technician looked at the unit for about three minutes, ordered a bunch of parts and left. The follow up appointment was rescheduled by dispatch, without notification. GE Customer Service was useless (but at least they all spoke English). Now we're stuck without an oven for Thanksgiving holidays with family coming to town. Will call the store we bought the unit from and see if we can return it. Searching around there are more reports of control board circuit boards being "fried" by the oven, so this is not an isolated incident. Do not buy this unit until the problem is resolved.

Krups 0925105 Oven Broiling Pan Review

(More customer reviews)While Krup Toaster ovens are high price and high performance, the broiler pans have a fragile teflon coating that scratches off easily. First time in the dishwasher left significant scratches. Obviously shouldn't use metal tools when broiling with this etc. Pity that Krup diddn't include either a porcelain or stainless steel finish. Only positive about this pan is that lacking a durable finish is that it is cheap.

DeLonghi EO420 4-Slice Toaster Oven, Brushed Stainless Steel Review

The first one that arrived had a defective knob which I would have had Delonghi replace but following the enclosed instructions for making toast, the lower element did not come on until well into the cycle so the top burned while the bottom was not toasted at all. I tried wheat bread, raisin bread and frozen waffles on several darkness settings and both rack positions. Although the unit seemed flimsy for $75 for a basic toaster oven, it was one of the few 4 slice (smaller) units and it looked OK on the counter so I had Amazon replace it. The toast function on second one was identical to the first so I returned it too. Delonghi is not a cheap brand; it should do better. Amazon should not carry this model.

It has a wider base that distributes the heat widely whereas the narrower top gives you time to pull from the heat element once the boiling begins. It also makes great herbal tea!

Norpro 12 by 16 Inch Stainless Steel Roast Lasagna Pan Review

(More customer reviews)I love making lasagna and shepard's pie in this pan and it's able to house a decent size turkey for the holidays! Spatula utensil and flat rack are nice extras. The one setback: it doesn't do so well if you try to seer meat on the stovetop as you need a thicker, more expensive pan for that. This mirror finish pan is also a breeze to clean. I was impressed by a recent purchases of a Norpro stainless pie pan so I hunted around for this roaster/lasagna pan on Amazon. It must be a well kept secret because Norpro's pan doesn't just automatically pop up, you have to really look through many Norpro products to find it.
I researched many pans including lasagna pans that probably won't fit in my oven due to the handle span. Compared to the Progressive International Stainless pan, this one blows it out of the water for only a few bucks more. Norpro makes the Progressive International pan feel like a flimsy lightweight. Having a smallish city dweller oven (16-1/4" long) it's a challenge to find many stainless steel pans that let me close the oven door, let alone a decent quality one at a great price. What more could I ask for but for a larger apt and oven?

Norpro 17x12 Stainless Steel Broil and Roast Set Review

Have used it only for broiling steak and the first few times could scrub off the splatter, but after that, no matter how or what I scrubbed with it would not come off so I am left with an ugly looking pan and for the money spent, I did not expect this, so my advise is to purchase another product that resists burning on.

Foil Broiler Pans 333 - 1 Pack Review

(More customer reviews)Besides being very flimsy each pan comes with a large - about 8 x 8, paper sticker attached with big globs of glue that take some time getting off. This isn't glue you can roll off and has to be scraped off. The pans come in a sealed package so why they put a sticker on each one and use this glue (toxic?) is over kill. Nice for the convenience but I won't be buying this brand again. Back to a heavy rack with foil underneath.

It warped after three months and has turned from grey to brown due to baked on grease that cannot be cleaned. Pass on this stylish creative broiler pan and hang with the conventional porcelain design.

With recent concerns published in the media about nonstick releasing toxins at high heat, we went back to basics and replaced our nonstick pan with this more traditional one. Works just fine and we no longer need to worry about harming ourselves or the environment by blasting Teflon in the broiler.

I used the broiler pan to prepare a couple steaks for Christmas dinner, and it immediately warped under the heat. I'd have done better with a sheet of aluminum foil. Cheap and nasty, and certainly not worth the price.

(More customer reviews)We broiled fish on this pan twice. It was cleaned twice with only a non abrasive sponge. The non stick material has come off all the raised areas of the pan! Admittedly it was a tasteless substance yet I don't know what effect it is having on my stomach. This company is obviously after a fast buck. Do yourself a very large favor and avoid buying this pan. Had I purchased this in a store I'd walk in and demand my money back.

(More customer reviews)I bought this set to use in my new Breville convection toaster oven which can handle a pan 13 in. In the title of this set of pans it states it is "12.8 by 8.9 by 2 inch." But it turns out that only the small inner pan fits those dimensions. The rack and large outer pan extend well past 14 inches. This fact is in the fine print, but I did not see it before purchasing this set.
I will use the bigger pan and rack in my "grown-up oven" -- but had hoped I was receiving a pan with rack to use in my toaster oven.
