Calphalon Contemporary Stainless-Steel Lasagna Pan Review

Calphalon Contemporary Stainless-Steel Lasagna Pan

Bottom of pan is stamped 10 x 14 inches.
About the same size as the glass baking dish which is 9 x 12.
Pan is very light...no where near the 7 pounds in the description.
Definitely less than 3 pounds.
Finish is the worst I have seen in stainless steel ( dries with water spots )
The selling price should have been less than $29.
I am a fan of Calphalon but this item looks more like counterfeit.
I will keep it and use it, but would NOT recommend it or give it away as a gift. Would not buy again if this one got lost or stolen

This pan cleans well, heats evenly, and makes a nice size lasagna for four (with a bit left over). It is about 2.75 inches deep, with my only complaint that I wish it was deeper. Overall, a great buy at 64% off!

HIC Porcelain 10 x 7 x 2.5 Inch Lasagna Pan Review

Being an avid baker and home cook I wanted to finally invest and buy a high quality porcelain lasagna pan. I have done a lot of research on the different lasagna pans on the internet. With all the name brands like Emile Henry and Cuisinart I wasn't sure which one to buy. After reading through many magazines I found this listed in Cook's illustrated as number 1 and a fraction of the price so I decided to buy it and give it a try. It's great for lasagna but also great for brownies, roasting potatoes and even my apple crisp!
Great pan..

Norpro 12 by 16 Inch Stainless Steel Roast Lasagna Pan Review

Norpro 12 by 16 Inch Stainless Steel Roast Lasagna Pan

I love making lasagna and shepard's pie in this pan and it's able to house a decent size turkey for the holidays! Spatula utensil and flat rack are nice extras. The one setback: it doesn't do so well if you try to seer meat on the stovetop as you need a thicker, more expensive pan for that. This mirror finish pan is also a breeze to clean. I was impressed by a recent purchases of a Norpro stainless pie pan so I hunted around for this roaster/lasagna pan on Amazon. It must be a well kept secret because Norpro's pan doesn't just automatically pop up, you have to really look through many Norpro products to find it.
I researched many pans including lasagna pans that probably won't fit in my oven due to the handle span. Compared to the Progressive International Stainless pan, this one blows it out of the water for only a few bucks more. Norpro makes the Progressive International pan feel like a flimsy lightweight. Having a smallish city dweller oven (16-1/4" long) it's a challenge to find many stainless steel pans that let me close the oven door, let alone a decent quality one at a great price. What more could I ask for but for a larger apt and oven?
