(More customer reviews)This is one appliance that lives up to every one of the manufacturer's claims. I follow directions and spray the grill surface with cooking spray and put half a cup of water in the pan below, and the grill really is, as advertised, smokeless and extremely easy to clean. I like the adjustable grill temperature, a feature I'm not used to since my faithful antique Farberware, now deceased, had only two settings, namely "plugged in and on" or "unplugged and off". The Sanyo cooks everying in half the time the old grill did, and without cabinet-endangering flareups. I particularly like the enormous cooking surface since I'm regularly cooking for 5 adults and a child and with this grill I can cook for all of us at once. The dimensions make it easy to store if you set it vertically rather than horizontally. The appliance is so low in height that I set mine on a silicone countertop protector, but I'm not sure this is really necessary. My only complaint is that there is no surrounding rim to keep your hamburgers from sliding right off the grill when you try to flip them over, but using a second spatula as a backstop solves that problem. This grill is a terrific bargain even at the suggested retail price; at the current Amazon price it's even more terrific.

(More customer reviews)if you are just outfitting your kitchen, start with this pan. Especially if you are cooking for 2 or 3. The 10" deep skillet is one of the least expensive, decent fry pans available. You can do a dutch apple pie with the lid on in the oven, you can cook eggs, pancakes, french toast on the lid. If you are cooking for 4, and want just one fry pan, get the 12". Otherwise this pan does it all. Roast, fry, oven and stove top. The pans are tough, mine is going on 20+ years.
Downside, takes a bit more oil or grease than a Teflon pan, but then if you own a parrot you already know you can't cook on Teflon. Makes you wonder how good it is for the rest of us.

(More customer reviews)Pros: Big interier space, comes with all cooking accessories, easy to assemble, clear instructions. Cools of quickly, has a setting for the door to be open about 1/2 inch.
Cons: Black on silver makes the dials hard to read, The three settings (bake, brown and toast) are not defined in the manual. First time burning off the chemicals on the elements is VERY smokey! Smelled like I was melting a GI Joe in the thing! Set off my smoke detector it did!
Conclusion: An excellent buy for the money! Keep an eye on it (use a seporate timer until you get used to it) I had a potpie that went from perfect to slightly burned in 30 seconds (set off my smoke detector again)

(More customer reviews)I did a lot of research on toaster ovens before buying. I wanted a toaster and my wife wanted something that could toast sandwiches as well. Well this does both and so much more. I never wrote a review before but I thought I would write one now just to help people out that are looking and very picky like I am.
This toaster oven is spacious if you're looking for a pan to use inside this I found a 12x12x3 cake pan fits perfectly.
I originally bought it at Walmart for $29.94 + tax + shipping = $44 but they ended up never shipping the product after a week so I canceled and found Amazon had it that day for $29.99 + free shipping (my luck day). I would have happily paid $45 for this either way.
After reading the 80 or so reviews at Walmart, the reviews on Amazon, and various other websites I concluded the following: All toaster ovens are made in China, meaning they will break sooner or later even if the $249 at Macy's. If your lucky it will be later. After looking for a long time and various brands I could not find one toaster oven that was not made in China so I ruled that out of my decision making. I want it to last so I ruled out anything that had electronic controls since they are more likely to break, keep it simple purely mechanical. That left my choices pretty slim. All the other toasters (Black and Decker, Delonghi, Oster, etc..) had quite a few reviews about uneven toasting. Which is important to me since I was originally buying this mostly to toast.
I really couldn't find too many people saying anything bad about this toaster either besides the "Toast" setting is hard to see. I didn't think it's too difficult to see its in Red maybe because it blends in with the black and doesn't stick out as much as the white text does. If you read the instructions it even tells you where to find the toast setting and how to use it. Turn timer past 10min mark and then back to the light toast or dark toast setting and put the oven temperature to Toast (turns on both top and bottom burners at high heat).
Also, all toaster ovens will make a smell when first turning ON. It even explains that in the manual. Turn heat setting to Toast and put timer on Always On with all the trays inside for 15 minutes and then turn OFF. It will smell bad so be prepared this is normal. I would have done this outside or in my garage if I knew it was going to make such a bad smell (like burning tires).
After that I was ready to put this bad boy to use. I made some toast at the light toast setting following directions and it came out perfectly. The next day we broiled some fish in the oven using a small cake pan covered in foil and then near the end took the foil off and put on Toast setting to get the top of the fish a little crispy.
This oven does goto 450 degrees so be careful. The oven sides, top, and back will get HOT. This is common with all toaster ovens. I read some complaints about the rack not sliding out when you open the door, but a pair of tongs or oven mitt solves that problem.
We won't be using our big electric oven any more. We are just 2 people and there is plenty of room in this toaster oven to make enough food for the two of us.
Last, all my kitchen appliances and counter tops are black and this blends in nicely. It looks stylish to me and I don't mind leaving it out all the time.
Amazon shipped this product the next day and I ended up getting it 3 days earlier than expected delivery date. Don't waste your time with Walmart they are just expensive after taxes and shipping and you will be lucky to even get it. Just pay the extra dollar and get it from Amazon.

Hamilton Beach 31506 Convection 6 Slice/Broiler Toaster Oven Review

(More customer reviews)Just bought this yesterday from Bed and Bath. Today I tried the toast feature. Used the light brown setting on some bagels, came out light brown. Next the dark brown setting; came out dark brown and not burnt. It works. As for the rack not being attached to the door(this appears to be an issue for some); this oven has two levels for the rack, this means you can't have that feature. The crumb tray removal is fine, you just need to wait until the oven cools off before removing it. It's also good as baking rack if you wanted to use it as one. Another problem with these units is a convection fan that's really loud. Not this one. Very quiet. Can't even tell it's on. The only thing I found so far that could be a problem are the metal strips on the door. One is right behind the handle and is rather easy to touch if your not careful.

Maxi-Matic ERO-2008S Toaster Oven Broiler Rotisserie Review

(More customer reviews)I have been a countertop oven user for 20 yrs-even when my three children were @ home. Takes up less space and uses less energy. With the invention of the microwave, who needs a big stove. I use a countertop 2 burner hotplate also.
When my Maximatic ERO2006S (which I stumbled upon @ a discount warehouse) retired after many years (6-8) of faithful service, after much searching for the perfect replacement and finding many worthy contenders, I stuck w/Maximatic and went for the upgrade (Elite Professional ExLarge-23L-ERO2008S) which is a better value, I think, than the ERO2006S and definately worth the extra money.
This little oven is a big bang for the buck. I just love it. Rotisserie, broil, roast, bake, steams? griddle and oh yeah-makes great toast too. Roomy enough to roast 6-8 lb (at least) chicken or turkey breast. W/separately purchased pizza stone-a pizza oven. W/separately purchased steamer-a veggie steamer as well.
Listing @ just $10.00 more than its older model, Maximatic has kicked it up a notch or two. W/its updated snazzier look and larger size (height & width pretty much the same but depth, front to back is where most of the extra room is). Also much roomier cooking top. Profile is angled w/more room near the bottom which gives it a nice look. Looks much better than as pictured.
This one has a 'stay on' and timer function w/bell too. Yay!
The roomier multi-use top is very handy (why don't they all do this ???). The well thought out combo design enables the heat in the top to be put to good use as a steamer and warmer when roasting/baking/broiling. This was the biggest reason for choosing Maximatic in the first place and then replacing it w/the newer model. The top used as griddle is another cooking option (though seems somewhat cramped).
I was hoping a standard 9x13 would fit, but 2 8x8 works too. I have located some great cookware that does fit so not a priority or problem.
The brand is not well known @ least to me. The price was right for my first Maximatic and I was in a bind so I grabbed it, but would never have purchased an unknown or little-known brand if given a choice. The first one did not disappoint and I'm hoping this one will last as that one did.
