Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10-Inch Fry Pan Review

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 10-Inch Fry Pan

These pans put together the best qualities of cookware....
non-stick and stick
Amateur cooks will expect these pans to be "fully" non-stick. If you expect that, then buy a pan for $9.99 at your local department store.
These pans have non-stick qualities but not fully non-stick. You want food to stick somewhat, which in turn makes the fond on the bottom of the pan, which you turn into a sauce or gravy.
The stick qualities give you the proper browing and carmalization your looking for in cooking foods on your stove top.
Clean up is a snap! It is best to use Bar Keepers Friend as this removes all residue from the pan. I have found that regular dishcleaners do not work properly.
These are expensive, but they will be the only pans you ever need to buy, if you take care of them properly. Do not throw them into cold water right from the stove. All pans will warp if you do this.
They are a nice heavy weight gauge too.
As a professional chef, I have used many brands of pans and these are the best currently on the market. I do not use them in the restaurant as they are expensive and they would get destroyed in our fast paced atmosphere, but I have 2 complete sets at home and you get what you pay for. Perfection!
I mentioned before, if you expect these pans to be totally non-stick, then look for something else.

All-Clad 51125 All Clad Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Fry Pan with Lid Review

All-Clad 51125 All Clad Stainless-Steel 12-Inch Fry Pan with Lid

I received this pan today and made dinner for the family with it. It works well. The lid is reasonably well-fitting. I'm commenting here to note that when I saw this deal I wondered if it was too good to be true, but it's in fact the genuine article. And also - this pan is significantly lighter than my five- or six-year-old all-clad stainless 12" fry pan (which needed replacing after operator error) - about 1.22 kg vs 1.38 kg according to my kitchen scale. That's a plus for ease of use and cleanup, but the reduced mass must mean less heat retention if the design hasn't changed.

A useful addition to any busy kitchen, this classic 12-inch stainless-steel fry pan comes in handy for anything from sauteing vegetables or frying tofu to cooking up scrambled eggs or hash browns on a Saturday morning. Measuring 12-4/5 by 20-1/2 by 3 inches overall, its design includes gently flared sides that make it easy to slide a veggie omelet from the pan to a plate.
The bestseller among All-Clad's renowned cookware collections, the Stainless line provides serious and professional cooks all the virtues that make All-Clad's worldwide reputation unsurpassed. Its three-ply bonded design features a thick aluminum core sandwiched between an inside layer of 18/10 stainless steel and an outside layer of magnetic stainless steel, which work together to ensure fast heat-up times and even heat distribution along the base and up the sides. In addition, the cookware's 18/10 stainless-steel interior won't react with food, which means tomato-based sauces and other acidic foods won't taste metallic, and its magnetic stainless-steel exterior allows for use on induction as well as conventional stovetops.
The cookware's solid stainless-steel handle stays cool to the touch and offers a comfortable, ergonomic grip, plus it comes riveted to the pan for safety and long-lasting strength. The versatile fry pan can go safely in the oven up to 500 degrees F and under the broiler, and it comes with a stainless-steel lid that helps keep in heat, moisture, and nutrients. When finished, clean the pan and its lid by hand (recommended) or in the dishwasher. Made in the USA, the cookware carries a limited lifetime warranty.

Lodge LCC3 Logic Pre-Seasoned Combo Cooker Review

Lodge LCC3 Logic Pre-Seasoned Combo Cooker

if you are just outfitting your kitchen, start with this pan. Especially if you are cooking for 2 or 3. The 10" deep skillet is one of the least expensive, decent fry pans available. You can do a dutch apple pie with the lid on in the oven, you can cook eggs, pancakes, french toast on the lid. If you are cooking for 4, and want just one fry pan, get the 12". Otherwise this pan does it all. Roast, fry, oven and stove top. The pans are tough, mine is going on 20+ years.
Downside, takes a bit more oil or grease than a Teflon pan, but then if you own a parrot you already know you can't cook on Teflon. Makes you wonder how good it is for the rest of us.

Get two pieces of cookware in one package with this cast iron Combo Cooker from the Lodge Logic line. It features a 3-quart base that can act as a deep skillet or shallow Dutch oven and a shallow 10-1/4-inch skillet/griddle that also acts as a lid to the 3-quart base. Cast iron creates superior heat retention, heats evenly, and loves a campfire, unlike flimsier pans. The American-based company Lodge has been fine-tuning its construction of rugged, cast-iron cookware for more than a century. No other metal is as long-lasting and works as well for spreading and retaining heat evenly during cooking. Lodge's Logic line of cookware comes factory pre-seasoned with the company's vegetable oil formula, and is ready to use right out of the box.
While both come pre-seasoned to prevent food from sticking, they work best when sprayed or lightly coated with vegetable oil before use. After the meal is done, simply scrub the cast iron with a stiff brush and hot water, no soap, and dry immediately. Lodge covers the sturdy oven with a lifetime limited warranty against defects, and when cared for properly, this virtually indestructible pan should last for generations.
