Panasonic NB-G100P 7.2-Quart 1300-Watt Infrared Toaster Oven Review

Panasonic NB-G100P 7.2-Quart 1300-Watt Infrared Toaster Oven
Average Reviews:

First I must say that this toaster oven makes better toast than any other toaster oven I have used. That said, there are a few things that disappointed me.
1. There is an on/off button. It would be better if using the other buttons turned it on automatically and it should turn off automatically when the cycle ends.
2. That light is bright! Very strange to have space-alien lighting emanating from the toaster over. A tinted door would be nice.
3. Not good for baking. This oven does a great job of heating the surface, but not so great heating the center of things. Even cookies did not fare well.
4. The oven is hotter in back and cooler in front. It even mentions this in the instructions. Large items such as pizza need to be rotated partway through heating.
5. The temperature increments are weird and won't match most recipes.
It does, however, make great toast. Even Pepperidge Farm's Texas Toast worked well. Any other toaster oven I have used has always toasted the top and bottom unevenly, leaving a crunchy top and soggy bottom. Grilled cheese sandwiches work great too. I love the Frozen Toast button - the button I use most. Hopefully Panasonic will correct the annoyances with the next model, but I'm still keeping this one.

Here's a toaster oven that cooks up to 40% faster than conventional toaster ovens for toast and frozen pizza. This super-speedy ability is the result of original technology which uses near-infrared and far-infrared lighting for quick cooking with no preheating. Its square design may work better for your space, and it accommodates a 9" pizza easily. Operation is very easy thanks to the illustrated preset buttons and digital timer and temperature settings.

Hamilton Beach 6-Slice Toaster Oven Review

Hamilton Beach 6-Slice Toaster Oven

I bought this oven about a year ago and I use it several times a week. It's a little slower than a standard toaster, but that's always the case for toaster ovens, and it seems on par in its own arena. It's a good bit roomier than the Black&Decker ovens I had previously used, and it seems sturdier as well. Additionally, it doesn't cut off when the door is open, which I see as a feature, but some might dislike for safety reasons. Timer and power are consistent. The crumb tray is removable, and it comes with a single shelf, a pan, and a grille for the pan.

Oster 6-Slice Convection Toaster Ovens Review

Oster 6-Slice Convection Toaster Ovens
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Great little toaster oven w/ lots of options. Possesses wide range of ability - from making toast to baking muffins. The rounded back side of the toaster oven allows for a 9" frozen pizza to be cooked within. Great thinking. Controls are simple, and easy to understand. A superior value for the money.
Room for improvement (reason for 4 stars/not 5):
1. The timer is loud - not obnoxiously so, but one is aware that the oven is on.
2. The design of the handle/glass door. Be very careful when opening the oven door! It is all too easy to touch part of the very hot glass door (burns!) when using the front handle. If you are aware of this - and are careful, is not a problem. Would not want children using this appliance for this reason.

Toastess TTO-506 Silhouette Stainless-Steel Convection Toaster Oven Review

Toastess TTO-506 Silhouette Stainless-Steel Convection Toaster Oven
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I received this oven very quickly from Ritz Camera. I had contacted them to say the dimensions shown must be incorrect since the height is given as 18.6" which from the picture obviously cannot be right - it cannot be taller than it is wide. The company who makes this oven confirmed the real dimensions which are: Width 17" X Depth 13" (to fit a 12"pizza) and height just 9".
Obviously the true dimensions are better than those given. Who wants a toaster oven over 18" tall?
The oven seems well made and after only one use the fan assisted oven seems to work efficiently and quietly. It was however covered in annoying stickers which are difficult, time-consuming and messy to remove. The pinger or bell when the auto-timer shuts off is almost inaudible. Also, there is no interior light as advertised.
I would give the product 5 stars if it had a continuous clean oven coating. I will update this when it has had some use.

DeLonghi DO1279 6-Slice Toaster Oven Review

DeLonghi DO1279 6-Slice Toaster Oven
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have gone through 3 or 4 toaster ovens over the years and this is the ONE. My wife loves it too, which is all that really matters.
The fan bake is the best, food gets done quick and the food is actually properly browned and crispy. I love the light inside the unit and the digital readout ensures the temp. is correct and the timer keeps me from over cooking the food.
Something that is neat about this unit is that it has a quick function guide that pulls out from the bottom so you don't have to keep the user guide around in case you want to figure out what the pizza settings mean, etc.
My only complaint is that the display doesn't seem centered (the top and side has a white border, the bottom and right side doesn't). In addition it is pretty bright. A good night light I guess.
I would recommend this unit, it is just like William Sonoma unit (minus the dehydrator function and no stainless steel top/side casing).

Waring Pro TCO600 1500-Watt 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven Review

Waring Pro TCO600 1500-Watt 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I first started to look for a replacement for my old (very, very) Black and Decker SpaceSaver toaster oven I had a long list of requirements. As I hadn't shopped for a toaster oven in about 30 years I didn't realize that those stipulations were wildly optimistic. After months of frustrating research (and one very bad purchase), I was left with two show-stopping requirements: no Teflon (or Teflon-like) coating because of the fumes that emits, and an "I am done" sound that didn't shatter my eardrums and cause my dog to run away from home.
The TCO600 meets both of those requirements. There is no Teflon coating - just bare metal. (I would have preferred the old style blue/black enamel like my old toaster oven had and like my real oven has, but, as I said, I gave up on most of my "prefers".) The sound when the timer (60 minute) is complete is one "ding". That I love.
I'm pleased with the unit so far. The convection fan is quiet, the oven heats to the temperature set. I've used it to bake a few things and was satisfied. Haven't yet used the broiler. The toaster is not the most convenient to use, and you cannot choose a setting and leave it there. (One must turn the timer past 20, then turn it to whatever you think might be the right setting for the bread and wait for the timer to turn it off.) The toast was not bad at all.
It is nice looking, chrome front, painted silver metal along the sides and top. That chrome is going to show every fingerprint that touches it, but it's wiped clean easily enough. It does get hot, as toaster ovens do, but it hasn't caused any problems. The crumb tray is very accessible in the front of the unit. I do like the analog dials rather than pushbutton digital stuff.
It's a bigger footprint than I was looking for. My old unit was not called "SpaceSaver" for nothing: it was small outside and huge inside.
I have not had any problems with the oven being on the same circuit as the refrigerator. My house is fairly new, so maybe that makes a difference.
I've had it about two months. So far, so good.

Hamilton Beach 31989KO Toaster Oven and Broiler Review

Hamilton Beach 31989KO Toaster Oven and Broiler
Average Reviews:

Impressive appliance! Having had the 31989 for three months and used it everyday, I am extremely pleased. I have baked, broiled and toasted and found it does everything extremely well. The most fascinating thing is the self cleaning surface. Nothing sticks to it. Melted cinnamon candy topping from Panera's bagels just wipe off the drip pan with a paper towel with no residue. Likewise cheese from the pizza does the same. No washing required! Build quality was excellent, everything fit perfectly. I use it virtually everyday for some task. I have baked pies, cheese cake, Pizza, potatoes, and everything else. The convection feature of the oven insures everything is evenly browned. One of the best purchases I've made. It would have received five stars if the top had been insulated. Like most, if not all toaster ovens, exterior surfaces get hot. However, the fan runs after shutoff to quickly cool the exterior and prevent accidental burns.

Cuisinart TOB-30BC Classic Toaster Oven/Broiler, Brushed Chrome
Average Reviews:

I can't say enough good things about this oven. What I like most about it is its exceptional toasting ability...slices come out toasted evenly every time. And if you want to stop the toasting process, just press "stop," which is a welcome change from other toasters where a dial has to be almost forced back into the "off" position. It also functions very well in the baking mode...preheats fast too.
Its polished chrome exterior gives it an upscale look and is different from the typical white/cream color that can eventually become stained/burned looking with time. If this was in a "Survivor" of toasters, it would surely outlast the competition. I've had two Delonghis in the past that performed poorly, and Krups (though pretty reliable) just doesn't look as good. Works great and looks great too. What more can you ask for?

KitchenAid Convection Countertop Oven Review

KitchenAid Convection Countertop Oven
Average Reviews:

Great size. Great controls. Originally we had the top-ranked Cuisinart brand with digital controls that did NOT turn itself off. With kids in the house it was a safety issue. Unsurprisingly, that other oven melted its own power cable when it didn't turn itself off. THIS unit is just as large, has great controls AND turns itself off.
The toaster function works very well, and the settings are accurate: medium is medium, etc. We've also noticed that this convection oven is SO MUCH Quieter than the other top-ranked model we owned.
Another GREAT function is the ability to clean the crumb pan FROM THE FRONT. Our last oven could only be cleaned by turning the oven around on the counter to access the crumb pan. On this oven the crumb pan can be pulled right out behind the front door.
It comes with two shelves in case you need them, and it also comes with a VERY STURDY broiler pan. We were surprised at the quality of the accessory pan.
So:
1) With kids in the house the auto-shutoff is a MUST-HAVE.
2) It is very easy to clean
3) Size is fantastic
4) Controls are good. Heat is even and accurate.
5) Pan accessories are high quality.

Black & Decker CTO7100B Toast-R-Oven Digital Rotisserie Convection Oven Review

Black and Decker CTO7100B Toast-R-Oven Digital Rotisserie Convection Oven
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This B&D oven makes outstanding rotisserie meats and is a big leap in value over a traditional toaster oven, with one significant drawback: it's a very mediocre toaster. In fairness, nowhere on the packaging does this product say "toaster" -- it's simply described as a convection rotisserie oven. But if you're considering an upgrade over a standard toaster oven like I was, you're probably hoping for the best of all worlds: rotisserie, convection oven, and toaster. It nails the first two, but is merely acceptable on the third.
Rotisserie: It takes a few tries to get a feel for the timing, but once you do, you get really outstanding roasts and restaurant-quality rotisserie chicken. The rotisserie keeps juices circulating inside, so the meat doesn't dry out like when you bake it the standard way. Some have noted that it isn't really big enough for chicken, and it can be a squeeze. But if you tie the legs with cooking twine (which you should do anyway, to prevent burning), you can cook a 4-1/2 to 5 pound bird, and anything smaller is easy (the manual suggests 3-1/2 as a limit, but you can push that a bit). Pork and beef roasts are ridiculously easy -- just stab it through with the skewer and put it in -- and absolutely delicious. I'm surprised at those who say the rotisserie isn't worth it, because to me, it's the best thing about this device. Well worth the upgrade over a non-rotisserie convection oven.
Convection oven: If you're not interested in the rotisserie, you can get a good non-rotisserie convection oven for $30-$40 less. That's still $30-$40 more than a standard toaster oven, but it's worth it. A standard toaster oven isn't really for baking. It's good for reheating or melting cheese on something, but that's about it. A good convection oven like this one can be used for anything you do in a normal oven. Lasagnas (in a 9x9 pan), breads, pizzas (up to 12-inch), desserts, etc. -- all of these can be done here because the oven regulates its temperature reliably. Furthermore, the smaller size and the convection fan (which circulates the air to regulate temperature and speed cooking slightly) mean less energy. Why use a giant oven to cook a small dish? Pre-heating is quicker, cooking times are shorter, and the food is just as good. The broiler also works well.
Toaster: Again, B&D doesn't promote this as a toaster, though it does have a toaster setting. It toasts pretty evenly (no worse than a standard toaster oven on that front), but the larger size of the oven (compared to a toaster) means it takes a long time, and the toast tends to dry out. You can tinker with the settings a bit, and if you position the rack close to the heating element, it turns out fine, but expect it to take a few minutes longer than a normal toaster or toaster oven. This may also mean that you're giving back some of the energy you save by using it as an oven.
Two other drawbacks to be aware of: (1) it takes a fair amount of cabinet space, since it is a few inches wider, deeper, and taller than most toaster ovens, and (2) the glass on the front is not double-layered, and thus gets very hot -- be careful if you're using it with small children around.
Beyond that, this is a solid product. After six months of use, I'm happy I bought it, and am really glad to have another way to cook outstanding meat during the winter months when it's too cold to grill.

Presto 03430 Pizzazz Pizza Oven Review

Presto 03430 Pizzazz Pizza Oven
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all it's not perfect. The non-stick coating is thin on the pan, and can get scratched off easy. Plus, there's no easy way to clean off the brown, spots you get from baking. All that aside, this is a great device if you like homemade, and frozen varieties of pizza.
I used to try all kinds of tricks to get a frozen pizza to taste good. I'd microwave them partially first, I'd bake them directly on the oven rack; I'd try greasing the pan, or not greasing it. I had some success with these techniques, but it was a lot of work. This oven does the job, and gets the pizza cooked the way you want it. An easy flip switch on the top, can turn the heat on both sides, just the top, or just the bottom. You control the crispness, and the degree of browning on your pizza.
This oven is also great for baking those commercial, "take and bake" pizzas, from shops like Pappa Murphy's. Further, its better for reheating leftover pizzeria pizza than your microwave. What more can you want? I wanted just one thing, a 14" model. While most frozen pizza is 12" or smaller, you cannot heat one any larger. One final caution, rising crust pizzas will sometimes bubble, or rise into the top-heating element. It's a good idea to stay in the general area while the pizza is cooking, or it can potentially start a fire.

Breville BOV650XL Compact 4-Slice Smart Oven with Element IQ Review

Breville BOV650XL Compact 4-Slice Smart Oven with Element IQ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Like just about everyone else in the free world, I grew up with a GE Toast-R-Oven. I cooked everything from toast (of course) to pizza bagels (a great discovery back in the 70s) to TV dinners and even baked fish in it. When the one I received as a gift when I bought my first house finely gave up the ghost, I replaced it with a $100 Hamilton Beach tabletop convection oven could bake a whole loaf of bread, two pies or a meatloaf. It even had a rotisserie with a spit you could impale a chicken on, though I never tested this feature. I used it for several years, and it did everything you would expect of a compact toaster oven- except make toast. The burners were just too far apart.
Enter the Breville. Rather than the mechanical timer and temperature control of the Hamilton Beach (and the GE before it) this unit has fully electronic control that promises to be more accurate in both functions. It can handle (they say) a 12" pizza, and 4 slices of toast. So how does all this work in practice?
As a toaster, it's great. It toasts more evenly than my $20 Target toaster, and the slide out crumb tray makes cleaning easy. Repeatability if excellent, and of course you can watch the bread/bagel/whatever as it toasts, keeping an eye out for burning. It compensates for heat buildup when you toast multiple items in sequence- a major help. Still, for close to $200 you expect more than just toast from a machine like this.
I haven't tried baking a pie yet, but I did do some miniature muffins, and they came out fine. I haven't done any bread yet, as it's just too small to handle a standard loaf of the size I bake. Maybe I can make some buns or rolls in it.
The timer function is a bit annoying in the way it works. You set the time and temperature, and when it comes up to temperature, it starts the countdown. This is fine for frozen pizzas and TV dinners, but less helpful for bakers trying to control the baking environment. I'd prefer something that would come up to temperature and then wait for me to start the timer.
Half the functions on the main knob are for preset cooking programs- like the microwave ovens in lunchrooms that have buttons labeled "soup", "sandwich", and so forth. There's a "cookies" function, but I have dozens of different cookie recipes with different time and temperature settings. This program is useless to me.
So: A great toaster, and a useful oven for baking very small items. It's a little deeper than the old Toast-R-Oven, but still not big enough to handle more than a quarter sheet of cookies or a small pie. Useful, for what it is, but given the price, it's getting close to being a luxury easy bake oven. I think the Breville BOV800XL The Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ, which adds convection and a somewhat larger oven is a better deal overall, and if you really want a useful secondary oven, something like my Hamilton Beach 31197R Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie is a lot more flexible.
Followup:
After a little over three months of using this oven, I'm more convinced than ever that this is a superb (if expensive) toaster. Unlike the pop-up toaster on my counter, you can precisely set the actual toasting time- very handy- and you can watch until you get the precise shade of browning you're looking for.
I'm also becoming more favorably inclined to its use as an oven, too. It's still a bit small for most baking uses, but it's big enough for roasting peppers or baking a few potatoes, or even a tiny batch of cookies. I still think the larger version is a better all-around appliance, but for a tiny apartment kitchen this may be a good choice.
Six month update:
I find I've been using this oven more and more for all my toasting and small baking needs- it's even taking over some of the tasks I used to do in my microwave. It's still reliable, easy to maintain, and the accurate electronic timer is a great improvement over the mechanical timers in cheaper ovens in both accuracy and reliability.

Similar to the Breville Smart Oven, but in a smaller, more compact design, this 1800-watt oven offers exceptional cooking convenience while taking up less space on the counter. The unit's 3/5-cubic-foot nonstick interior can accommodate a 12-inch pizza or four slices of bread at a time, while its push-button and turn-knob control panel makes it easy to program. Turn the control dial to select the function--options include Toast, Bagel, Bake, Roast, Broil, Pizza, Cookies, and Reheat. The oven's Element IQ "smart" sensor technology puts the power where it's needed most to ensure energy-efficient operation. For each of the eight pre-set functions, Element IQ automatically adjusts the power and calculates the cooking time. The time and temperature for the pre-set programs can also be manually adjusted to accommodate individual preferences--the oven will even remember the new settings for next time.
Use the second control dial for setting the time (from one minute up to two hours) and for adjusting the temperature (from 120 to 450 degrees F), as well as for selecting the number of slices and for setting the toast shade, from light to dark. The control panel also offers a large start/cancel button, a defrost button for frozen foods, and a temperature-conversion button for recipes with cooking temperatures in Celsius. The oven's easy-to-read backlit LCD screen shows the current function, temperature, and adjustments made--plus it illuminates orange to indicate preheating and cooking, then blue to indicate the end of the cooking cycle. Other highlights include a tempered-glass door, three rack positions, and a front-access removable crumb tray for quick cleanup. Accessories include a 10-by-10-inch enamel baking pan and a 10-by-10-inch enamel broil rack. Attractively housed in coated steel with a strikingly modern design, the countertop oven measures 16-1/2 by 14-1/4 by 10 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

West Bend 74706 Countertop Oven with Rotisserie Attachment Review

West Bend 74706 Countertop Oven with Rotisserie Attachment
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Update: 6/2/2011
This oven is still going strong as of Summer 2011! We've used it almost daily for the last 2+ years and it almost always is used to replace our big oven, especially during the hot days of summer when a big oven heats up the room too much. Not a peep of trouble out of it, it cooks everything just the way we want and quickly (due to convection fan) and we are delighted to see that it is still being sold on Amazon as a current model! Almost tempted to order another one to keep stored for the day this oven in use dies, but, I'm pretty confident, that won't be for a long while. It has passed the test of time and continued use with an A+ rating!Just received our West Bend 74706 and tried it right out. Be advised to wipe it down inside and out for dust and then heat it up empty for about 15 minutes as it may smoke a bit as it heats up for the first time. First to note that it is built extremely solid. I've looked at every oven like this at Costco, WalMart, Sears, etc and not one had the solidity that this one has. The handle on the West Bend is rock solid as is the entire build quality of this model. Many other model's handles flex up and down considerably during use and I question how long they would last. We also like the analog dials rather then digital (and easier to see if you use reading glasses and want to avoid hard-to-read digital displays). Low tech adds up to ease of use and less that can go wrong over time! It also means more $$ went into the rest of the oven design and quality, not into hight tech controls! Also to note, YES!, this is a convection model which allows faster cook times and much more uniform heating across the oven. The oven convection fan and motor do emit a hum of sorts, but, nothing that is loud and annoying. We've baked chicken in it and tried the toaster function as well. Cook times were fast for the boneless chicken and the texture was perfect, still moist and not charred like some smaller ovens can do since the meat, etc., is too darn close to the cooking elements in those smaller models. Convection also allows lower heat output and more heat element cycling (not on 100% of the time) to allow reduced electricity consumption.Toast takes no more time then a normal toaster and browns very uniformly across the oven. The oven's profile is smaller then we expected (a plus for a limited counter spot) and yet it will hold a 12" pizza pan or a 5X9 cook pan. The oven seems well insulated as well and does a great job at holding in the heat where it needs to be. We haven't tried the rotisserie yet, but, the hardware included is like the rest of this oven, well made and solid. With very limited use as of yet, my feeling is that we'll continue to praise this model as we use it more and that it deserves the high ratings most owners gave it. It'll do it all and use only 110V in the process versus that 220V oven you use for a small item that could go in the West Bend instead. It's a keeper!

Hamilton Beach 31197 Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie Review

Hamilton Beach 31197 Countertop Oven with Convection and Rotisserie
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Actual rating 4 1/2 stars. A half point deduction for door misalignment. The door doesn't seal like it's suppose to. It's not really a seal but a much larger gap than allowed. Either the the frame or the door is slightly warped. A minor error, however, as it still bakes near perfectly and I didn't detected any real heat escaping. I still consider the build of the oven very good.
I tested all features and they work excellent. Convection is very good and cooks much faster and is quiet. Much more quiet than the Toastmaster convection which was extremely noisy! This feature is also handy for quick warm-ups or making bread rise. The rotisserie also works very good. You must tie the the chicken up well, however.
The timer does not exactly stop on zero. It seems to go on 2 minutes or more. Again, a minor thing. Just compensate for this. It could be because the timer is also the on\off switch.
Using a drugstore temperature gauge I found the reading between the gauge and the oven off by about 25-50 degrees. However, everything cooks excellent using the oven degree markings. No undercooked items. In fact, this thing cooks much faster than recommended time in most recipes, sometimes much faster! For instance, on its rotisserie feature I found a 3 1/2 pound chicken could of been done about 15 minutes (or more) earlier than the recommended 2 hours! A roll recipe I found bakes about 25% faster than the recipe called for and I didn't even use the convection feature for either! (Note: The oven degree reading and the drugstore temp gauge reading were the same when using the convection feature.)
One caveat: I did find the the broil feature slightly weak for red meats, (it more like bakes it) but it did cook the fish nicely (crisp skin) at near exact recommened times.
When using this oven over 400 degrees the sides and top of the oven gets hot, including the controls! I must note this oven has no insulation of any kind. It also has no oven light, but one is not really needed, but it would be nice.
Includes a pamphlet type cookbook that is only a guide, but it does give sample recipes for every feature. Enough to get you started on what it is capable of. Includes two racks, a roast pan with separate grill rack, and a aluminium pizza pan with small holes througout. For handy cleanups the bottom of the oven can be easily pulled out and washed.
To give you some idea of its size, it can handle a 12" pizza, two if you have another of its pizza pan. (Though I never tried it). The rotisserie can handle up to a 5lb chicken. The oven a 7lb roast chicken. The oven interior is about 12" front to back (not including curved glass door), about 13" side to side, and about 10" from top burner coil to bottom burner coil, with each coil about 1/4" to 1" away from the metal surface respectively. The roast pan that comes with it has an inside dimension (excluding the lips) of about 11 1/2" by 9 3/4".
Overall, a very good small oven for the price.

For everything from cooking a 5-pound chicken to baking two 12-inch pizzas or a birthday cake, this extra-large countertop oven makes it possible to cook whole meals without turning on the full-size oven. Three simple-to-use control knobs allow for setting the temperature from 150 to 500 degrees F; for choosing the function--broil, convection, bake, or rotisserie; and for turning the unit off or selecting the cook time--turn the knob to the left for "continuous on" or to the right for 10 to 120 minutes of cooking time. Its convection method continuously circulates heated air around food, resulting in even heating and 33-percent faster cooking times than a traditional oven. Or use the revolving rotisserie rack to cook meat to moist, tender perfection. Other highlights include a power indicator light, a see-through window for checking on food at a glance, a stay-cool handle, and an easy-to-clean design. Accessories include two oven racks, a slide-out tray, rotisserie forks on a rotisserie rod (rotisserie skewer), a rotisserie lift, and a pizza pan. Not sure where to start? Hamilton Beach throws in a user manual with recipes for roast chicken, baked potatoes, meat loaf, pumpkin cookies, muffins, and much more. The countertop oven measures approximately 21 by 18 by 15-1/2 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Breville BOV800XL The Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ Review

Breville BOV800XL The Smart Oven 1800-Watt Convection Toaster Oven with Element IQ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Breville Smart Oven is a must-have kitchen appliance. In many/most cases it can serve as a replacement for it larger cousin the conventional oven/range. However, the Smart Oven is much more energy efficient (using roughly 50% less electricity) and can fit into the smallest of kitchens
Things that we enjoy
+ Depending on the setting (Broil/Bake/Toast) you have the ability to manage the temperature zones in the oven. This helps to ensure perfect cooking depending on you individual requirements.
+ The magnetic door helps to prevent any burns (see video)
+ Door seals nicely - reducing energy waste and the unneeded heating of your home.
+ 9 programmable settings - HOWEVER - you also have the ability to tailor the settings to your individual needs.
+ Nice Stainless steel finish will look nice in all kitchens.
+ Despite being stainless steel the surface of the oven does not show too many fingerprints.
+ Three pans included - Pizza - Baking - Broiling
+ Great operating manual
+ Not just a standard toaster oven - this is also a convection oven!
+ AS A OVEN IT WORKS GREAT
Areas to improve
- The cord is a little short (less than 3 feet) - while many people may appreciate a short cord it does mean that you have to have outlet near a space where you plan to use the oven.
- You may not be able to operate other appliances on your electrical circuit - At full heat the Smart Oven will pull between 15-20 amps - make sure that you have at least a 20amp breaker on the plug that you are using.Final Verdict.... this is an easy 5 stars - purchase with confidence.

Attractively housed in reinforced stainless steel, this 1800-watt convection toaster oven features a 4/5-cubic-foot nonstick interior and Element IQ technology, which provides smarter control over the heat. Choose from nine pre-set functions: Toast, Bagel, Bake, Roast, Broil, Pizza, Cookies, Reheat, or Warm; each one comes with its own pre-programmed temperature and cooking time, eliminating the guesswork. The unit's broil function activates just the top heating elements to melt and brown food; its toast function activates the top and bottom heating elements to seal and crisp; and the bake function uses both the top and bottom heating elements, as well as the convection fan, to ensure thorough cooking, inside and out. Instead of the oven's five quartz heating elements having a fixed wattage, however, Element IQ functions much like a dimmer on a light switch, increasing or decreasing the power with a simple turn of the knob. The time and temperature for the pre-set programs can easily be adjusted to accommodate individual preferences--the oven will even remember the new settings for next time.
Thoughtfully designed, the oven's push-button and turn-knob control panel, as well as its blue back-lit LCD screen, makes it effortless to operate the unit and to see the current function, temperature, and adjusts made. Other highlights include fast heat-up times, energy-efficient operation, three rack positions, a wire rack that ejects automatically halfway out of the oven for safe removal of hot items, an embossed and ribbed top surface that can be used as a warming tray, and a front-access removable crumb tray for quick cleanup. Combining durable materials and powerful performance with a strikingly modern design, users will want to leave the oven out on display and conveniently accessible for everyday use. Accessories include a 13-inch non-stick pizza pan, a 12-by-12-inch enamel baking pan, and a 12-by-12-inch enamel broil rack. The oven measures 18-1/2 by 12-1/2 by 10-3/4 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Cuisinart TOB-60 Convection Toaster Oven Broiler Review

Cuisinart TOB-60 Convection Toaster Oven Broiler
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I followed the instructions for toast-set the rack to the B position, turned the temp to 500 degrees, set on bake/toast,turned the timer dial past 20 minute than back to the toast shade I desired, I selected the lightest shade possible. I was a little nervous after reading the burned toast comments so I stood by and watched. The toast was perfect, exactly as it would have been in a toaster.
Next I tried a 12" frozen pizza, followed the instructions-set to 425 degrees, set the rack to the A position, set the timer. The only thing I did differently was I placed a sheet of alumium foil under the bottom heating elements on top of the crumb tray because I put the pizza directly on top on the rack (instructions do not indicate to do this). I added extra cheese and spices, set the timer for 10 minutes. The top of the pizza was done perfectly. The crust was slightly burned on the bottom, next time I'll set the timer for 9 minutes and lower the temp(9 minutes for a frozen pizza! wow, even my pizzaz pizza cooker takes 25 minutes).
Yes, the dial is hard to turn at first, it does loosen up, so far this is my only complaint. I can't wait to roast chicken or a full meal using the convection feature. So far so good, very happy with this product. I got it for $104.00, so I'm even happier with the price.
