(More customer reviews)I am not complaining but these are the facts that I feel about this toaster:-
1) The top gets really hot. So don't put anything on top of it if the toaster is on.
2) Feels cheap with sheet metal all around.
3) The timer is loud and only limits to 15 minutes max.
4) No separate toast button.
5) 2 heating units only. One on top and the other is at the bottom.
6) It does get the job done for me most of the time.
7) It holds 4 slice, not six in the description.
8) The mesh tray is flat with no setting for height adjustment.

DeLonghi DO1279 6-Slice Toaster Oven Review

(More customer reviews)I have gone through 3 or 4 toaster ovens over the years and this is the ONE. My wife loves it too, which is all that really matters.
The fan bake is the best, food gets done quick and the food is actually properly browned and crispy. I love the light inside the unit and the digital readout ensures the temp. is correct and the timer keeps me from over cooking the food.
Something that is neat about this unit is that it has a quick function guide that pulls out from the bottom so you don't have to keep the user guide around in case you want to figure out what the pizza settings mean, etc.
My only complaint is that the display doesn't seem centered (the top and side has a white border, the bottom and right side doesn't). In addition it is pretty bright. A good night light I guess.
I would recommend this unit, it is just like William Sonoma unit (minus the dehydrator function and no stainless steel top/side casing).

(More customer reviews)I was pretty frightened to try this toaster, but I had one several years ago and after trying a much more expensive model that took at least 10 minutes to toast bread, I decided to try it, despite all the bad reviews. And for $40, what more do you want? The oven does indeed turn off when the bell rings and can toast frozen bread in about 5 minutes, slower than a regular toaster, but much faster than the high end countertop oven that I tried. I waited about a month to write this review, because I was expecting to see flames coming from the unit, but so far it's been fine. I've used this to reheat pork chops and steak and it has worked quite well and I really like the hooks that pull the rack out about an inch when the door is opened.

(More customer reviews)Looks well constructed, nice design and backed by what I thought was a good brand name. I unpacked the first one and the handle fell off (glued to glass door with a heat resistant glue.) I exchanged it for another one. The timer would not turn off. Regardless of the setting, the timer would tick down to the "light" toast setting and stop. It could not automatically turn off. The case of the toaster also gets extremely hot, and the entire unit emits a chemical/plastic smell, which may go away with time. Further research indicated that the unit did not appear to be UL listed. I returned it to the store within 24 hours. The customer service department indicated they get many returned. Avoid.

Cuisinart TOB-30BW Toaster Oven/Broiler Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned our Cuisinart TOB-30 series for less then 3 months and we were very happy with it, until one day we noticed the unit would not shut off when turned to the off setting, the light would remain on and there is still being heat generated in the oven in the off position, then within a week, when you would turn the unit to the bake selection, it would not turn on and sparks would shoot out the back, only the toast feature remains working, and if you turn the knob to go through other settings sparks are generated. If you have the same situation I highly recommend you goto www.cpsc.gov the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and let them know of your concern, maybe we can get these recalled, it appears to be a faulty switch they are using. Im not hearing positive things about there service, but if you buy one, save your receipt and warranty information, you may need it and be aware of the unit at some point may not shut off unless you unplug it (if you go on vacation, etc)
