(More customer reviews)After using double boilers for years to make steel cut oatmeal, I cannot count how many times it has boiled dry. It is also difficult to clean as most standard double boilers have a groove on the lower pan. This one piece solves all the problems.
1) As the water level lowers it gives of steam that activates a whistle
2) Uses much less water than a conventional double boiler.
3) Real easy to clean.
No complaints what so ever, met and exceeded all my expectations.
The only way to improve it is to supply a lid, it does not come with one.
